It's been a nice Christmas. Pretty laid back actually, and all the kids are happy with their gifts. When they're all happy, everything is right with the world, and they all get along like a Normal Rockwell family. That's MY Christmas gift. Me, I'm not big into gifts. It sounds cliche', but I actually do enjoy giving better than receiving. I'm glad just to get cards and "Merry Christmas" from good friends. That said, I did get some Christmas cash that I'm thinking of spending on something indulgent... Same with the Husband. We just like getting things for the kids. Nothing too elaborate, but things we know they would like to have. I cooked ham and scalloped potatoes, and that put the Husband in a good mood. I guess there really is something about that way to a man's heart. So after the morning festivities and cooking and cleaning up and walking the dog, things settled down.
